The Baldwin Trust were delighted to attend Leicester’s Riverside Festival on the 3^rd and 4^th June with their narrowboat Dandelion.  Thousands of people attended the festival, in beautiful, bright sunshine.

Our team of volunteers, including Baldwin Bear, were on hand to chat to visitors, explaining the features of the boat, describing the experience of one of our cruises and what it’s like to volunteer for the Trust.

The Trust hosted on board Miss England semi finalist Khushi Baraiya who said:

“I was very impressed by the facilities available on the boat.  I found out a lot more about the extremely valuable work that the Baldwin Trust carries out in support of local people and their communities.”

Volunteer Mark Smith said: “it was amazing to see so many people out and about enjoying the festival.  It’s given us a great opportunity to share what the Baldwin Trust do and encourage people to book a cruise or even think about volunteering themselves!”
